Katie and Charlie are featured in the new Sunshine Coast Brides Magazine.
Katie and Charlie had a real focus on introducing music into their wedding day. Katie, herself a musician, planned the ceremony to be showcased by varied music that included her teacher playing piano and her bridesmaid playing a beautiful piece on the violin.
But by far the most planning went into the rehearsed musical piece of ‘all you need is love’ by the beatles, which saw a group of talented friends, students and colleagues surprise guests with a rendition that took inspiration from one of Katie and Charlie’s favourite movies – ’love actually’. Trumpets, trombones, guitars and beautiful singing surrounded family and friends as the couple celebrated becoming husband and wife.
Katie and Charlie wanted to create a ‘garden party’ style for their wedding day and introduced a whimsical and gardenesque floral concept throughout the details. Pretty flowers were featured in a rustic arch that hung overhead at the ceremony and the reception saw a collection of french style mason jars filled with blooms in lavender, pink and cream. The beautiful gardens of Maleny Manor were turned into a guest chill out zone with games such as giant ‘jenga’ and bocce, which were provided for guests to entertain themselves while the bridal party took to the surrounding landscape of maleny to have their wedding photos captured.
