Cassie and Carlos were the first couple to be married at The Chapel in Montville. Cassie said “We couldn’t have been happier with the way our ceremony played out, from the amazing location to the words shared in front of our family and friends”. Cassie and Carlos wanted a classic and elegant feel to their wedding day, but also wanted it to be very simple and intimate with lots of love and laughter shared with their closest loved ones. After meeting back in 2007, Cassie and Carlos became acquaintances who only saw each other occasionally, only to end up being set up by mutual friends of theirs a couple of years later.
They wanted an intimate and relaxed feel for their reception. They shared laughter, enjoyed the beautifully written speeches and danced the night away. Cassie’s wedding gown was designed with the help of Linda at Gowns of Elegance. She was able to come in and show her photos of how she wanted my gown to look from different dresses. During her first fitting, they told her they loved her gown so much that they will be adding her custom designed gown to their boutique collection and calling the gown “Cassie“.
Cassie said sharing their wedding day with her parents’ wedding anniversary was already special, but to be able to surprise her parents with their first dance during their reception was extra special. They weren’t able to afford their own reception when they married 35 years ago, so that was something that Cassie will cherish for the rest of her life.
Cassie said the best part of her wedding day was getting ready with her girls in the morning, everything simply fell into place and she know it had everything to do with the people supporting her. “The whole day just went so smoothly, we honestly didn’t have one issue. Seeing Carlos for the first time in the Chapel is a great memory, the absolute thrill that went through me and the look on Carlos’ face is something I will never forget”.
